ISPM-15 and FITOK

Under Decree No. 13 of July 2005, the Italian Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has recognized the
Wood-Cork Services Consortium
(Consorzio Servizi Legno Sughero)
as the entity in charge of the IPPC/FAO mark in Italy and has approved regulations on the use of the FITOK Voluntary Phytosanitary Mark (VPM).

Regulations on the use of the FITOK Voluntary Phytosanitary Mark, approved by the Italian NPPO, define the features of the accreditation and control system in relation to issuing and maintaining the right to use the IPPC/FAO and FITOK marks.

How to read the brand:
Inside the left box:

IPPC/FAO logo internationally-recognized symbol
Inside the right box:

IT-00-000: identification code of the company that performed the treatment or that produced the packaging with treated raw materials, which includes:

• IT: country where the treatment was performed or where the packaging was produced using pre-treated raw materials (in this case, Italy)
• 00: region where the treatment was performed or where the packaging was produced using pre-treated raw materials
• 000: company that performed the treatment or that produced the packaging using pre-treated raw materials

Under the left box:

0000/00: Lot number for the tracking and tracing of the packaging, which includes:

• 0000: progressive code that identifies the number of treatment or the production with pre-treated raw materials
• 00: year of treatment or of production with pre-treated raw materials
